Mary's brain was out of whack
Her husband wasn't coming back
She'd walk her dog with a vacant stare
Her bathrobe on and disheveled hair

Her house was over run with weeds
The neighbors clutched their rosary beads
God they thought, dear God they'd pray
Help poor Mary find her way

A few days passed, Mary stayed inside
It smelled a bit like something died
The cops they came, and they went upstairs
They found Mary lying there

Her face was a mess with blood and fur
A half-eaten dog in the bed with her
They locked her up where the walls are white
The neighbors all sleep well at night
